Hello, my name is Mary Vaihinger and I am someone that focuses on shapes, colors, and small details in my work. Whether it be something more colorful or something more dulled down, I am mostly experimenting with my own sense of style. Growing up, I lived most of my life with pets and a fascination for the intricacies in flowers. I wrote poems with plenty of metaphors and have taken that creativity to a visual side. My love for art started with design and technology where I liked making PowerPoints for school projects. Whether it be organizing my room or laying out a PowerPoint, I have always enjoyed making things look nice. That’s what it all boils down to. 

Taking inspiration from my childhood passions and the photographs I capture, I create things that particularly interest me. This spans from anime, video games, thrifting for random trinkets, to advocating for mental health and helping animals. I always find myself coming back to the things that I am passionate about.

In my photography I enjoy showcasing the small details in life that people often miss or overlook. In my work I layer ideas and themes, sometimes into something like a puzzle for the viewer to pick apart. I want viewers to spot the layers of my work and really consider any deeper meanings that may be evident. I am a Graphic Designer with a passion for UX/UI design who also loves taking pictures of nature in my free time.
